Get the sourcecode, build it, test it

You don't need the source code to use nor extend umbraco
You should only download the source if you're curious about how umbraco works and even in those cases, download the source from the "Releases" tab instead of from the "Source Code" tab that usually is work-in-progress for the next version. For production you should go for the stable builds, which still offers the award winning integration capabilities and full support for your .NET User and Custom Controls.

There is currently no anonymous access to the repository, because of limitations in codeplex. An update will come soon fixing it. Until then, you can download the sourcecode under the Source code tab.

For those having access, these are the information you need to connect:
(note, the info are also visible under sourcecode, if you login!)

Team Foundation Server name: tfs01.codeplex.com
Port number: 443
Protocol: https
Username: snd\CODEPLEXLOGIN_cp

Replace CODEPLEXLOGIN with your username!

Getting the codeplex-client

If you need more information about how to use it, look into the codeplex help!

Building the sourcecode

Building the sourcecode should be straight forward. There are currently these requirements:

Do you need certain permissions to login to TFS to download the source? I cannot login using my codeplex login.
